UK e-Health Week: A HIMSS EVENT

   OLYMPIA LONDON - 15-16 MAY, 2018

May 15-16, 2018 | Olympia, London

GDE Zone sponsors

DellEMC & VMware

Global Digital Exemplars (GDE) are paving the way to digital maturity for other trusts to follow. Dell EMC and VMware are already supporting many of the GDEs, fast followers, and acute trusts in driving digital maturity.

GDEs are intended to transition into internationally recognized digital pioneers in healthcare that actively champion high levels of digital maturity. Dell EMC and VMware can be at the very heart of their digital transformation, not only in the UK but Globally.

At the heart of this transformation is the Secure Software-Defined Data Centre, moving IT from silos to a single, integrated, secure platform for innovation that builds the foundation to embrace the cloud and other local healthcare initiatives.

We understand the complexity of the challenges ahead, from the data centre to the point of care, we’re empowering the NHS to deliver a more agile, dynamic and efficient clinical service.

Dell EMC and VMware support a health service where clinicians can enjoy:

  • faster access to health records
  • more time with patients
  • more reliable and secure applications
  • better insights to drive decisions

Talk to VMware and Dell EMC on stand 342 at e-health week to understand further how our vision can support GDEs successfully deliver technology-enabled health services.  Listen to Rachel Dunscombe, CDIO for Salford Royal and CEO of the NHS Digital Academy talk about her experiences as a leading GDE site CDIO and  how the organisation has used its participation in the Arch Collaborative to identify where its successes are and where improvements needed to be made for ongoing clinical and patient satisfaction.  VMware and DellEMC are supporting Salford to deliver against these requirements and to maintain that journey of continuous improvement.

MEDITECH’s GDE Customers Help Lead Healthcare Revolution

MEDITECH customers City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust and Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust are helping to transform healthcare in the UK and beyond as Global Digital Exemplars. In addition, NHS Foundation Trusts South Tyneside and MEDITECH customer Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust have been designated as fast followers to Sunderland and Alder Hey, respectively.

City Hospitals Sunderland is optimising its MEDITECH healthcare information system to achieve the Trust’s goal of becoming paper-free at the point of care, as they work towards HIMSS Stage 7 accreditation. This includes expanding interoperability features to seamlessly support patient transitions between the Trust and other health and social care settings.

Alder Hey Children’s uses MEDITECH’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR) to improve care for children and their families, not just in Liverpool, but across Cheshire and Merseyside counties. They see their GDE achievement as a means to enhance and accelerate their plans and to extend their services across the UK.

Don’t miss Clatterbridge CCIO Dr. Richard Griffiths during the Global Digital Exemplars Zone on May 15th from 11:15am - 11:45am, who will discuss the cancer centre’s journey as a fast follower. You’ll hear key insights on process redesign, innovation, and clinical engagement, and how they, like other GDEs, are looking to information technology to close gaps within the health and care system.

Catch MEDITECH at stand #254, where we’ll introduce our new web-based platform Expanse, as well as formally announce the newly incorporated MEDITECH UK.

At Cambio, we are pioneering a markedly different approach to ehealth. We believe that the future of healthcare delivery lies in an ecosystem of interoperable solutions with our patients at our core.

As a result, our solutions are:

  • Vendor neutral; our Clinical Decision Support app works with any EHR, extracting relevant data and registering any  alerts
  • Based on open standards architecture providing a platform for communities to build content and guidelines
  • Incorporates rules authoring, allowing the user and parent NHS trust to localise rules
  • Multi-channel delivery enabled, making our solutions available on any platform or mobile device

We want to see that every patient receives the best, safest and most seamless care possible. Current systems do not easily allow for full interoperability, compromising the delivery of care. Removing barriers between systems, data and access is the key to delivering true coordinated healthcare across the whole continuum.

We would like to invite you to the GDE Zone on Wednesday, 16 May  at 10:30 to hear Paul Miller, GP & Clinical Lead, CDS NHS Scotland describe how clinical decision support is working across Scotland.

And to find out more about Cambio, our solutions and our vision, please visit us on Stand 315.

A Global Digital Exemplar is an internationally recognised NHS provider delivering exceptional care, efficiently through the use of world-class digital technology and information. Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been chosen as one of only a few global digital exemplar hospitals in the UK due to its success over the past years in  becoming a paper-lite hospital.

Through its eHospital programme it is enabling its clinicians to deliver better care to their patients with the use of innovative digital technology, which is improving safety, reducing duplication and eliminating unnecessary delays to patient care.

Hospitals and care settings are evolving at  speed. Data and technology are the enablers to conduct care in a new way. Improving health, re-shaping quality standards and enhancing workflows and efficiencies, will be key in this evolution.
Patients will be at the heart of this change: trends in outpatient settings are increasing, artificial intelligence, and IT applications will have to follow the patients from hospital to home. Patient data has to be secure and available wherever the patient is.
Through Qualcomm Life, continuum of care leverages the power of data  and delivers intelligent care across care settings. Qualcomm Life offers the ability to create intelligence from medical devices by securely capturing,  distributing and transforming data for actionable insights in real-time.
Today, Qualcomm Life is working to future-proof hospitals, putting a prioritisation on building medical-grade, secure connectivity infrastructures that extend beyond the hospital setting.
